Jeff Horswell Crufts 2018 Bolognese Judge

Our Bolognese judge is Mr Jeff Horswell. Mr Horswell has been an exhibitor since the 1970s and is best known for Min Wire Dachs making up 23 UK Champions. He has also owned a Ch Greyhound and 2 Sh Ch Field Spaniels and was brought up with his mother’s Auldmoor Great Danes.

There has been a real buzz on social media this week following The World Show in Leipzig Germany. There were 73 Bolognese registered including 3 from the UK. The pictures and videos shown on line have made many of us really jealous that we were not there to see these lovely dogs in person. Virginia Dowty took Otti, Audrey and her puppy Senga CLARCHIEN ROCK WITH YOU. Audrey was second in Veteran Bitch and Senga WON Puppy Bitch. Otti was shortlisted in a very strong Ch group of 16 Champions.  BOB Bolognese at The World Show was a beautiful male Lipsia – Ares Di Chiesanova (Agostini Annalisa, Italy).

The gang at Midland Counties CH Show

We had fun at Midland Counties CH show on the 28th of October with Carol Lees our judge. BOB was KAYLO VH BALGZAND (IMP NLD) owned by Karen Golden. Junior Dog was won by ENJANICKA MIDNIGHT BLUE owned by Jane Towers, Post Grad Dog by ABSURON IMPERIALE MARS owned by Mr and Mrs Sue Johnson, Junior Bitch BELSTOWN CHEEKY PUMPKIN AT MOORHEY owned by Shirley Hewiton and Post Grad Dog by DEVONIA’S RED HOT SUMMER owned by Mr & Mrs Chris Thatcher. Well done everybody.

In Wales at SWKA CH Show BOB went to Greta Franklin’s girl STAREXPRESS MYSTERY GIRL. Greta also came away with BP with her boy puppy STAREXPRESS ITALIAN DREAM. BELSTOWN CHEEKY PUMPKIN AT MOORHEY and BIANCOPALE SHINING STAR also won their classes in Wales.

Enjanicka Midnight Blue does well at OPEN & CH shows

On the OPEN SHOW front, Jane Towers has been campaigning Hector – Enjanicka Midnight Blue and was happy with BOB at Hitchin & District Canine Society show. Bolognese were scheduled for the first time at this show and Jane said it was a very well organised show and one worth going to if they do classes again. At Huntingdonshire Canine Society Hector was Best Rare Breed under Julian Barney even though he was very much the baby up against some much older dogs.

Well done Polo at Wigan & Dist OPEN SHOW

News from Jacky Johnson comes through for Wigan Dog Show where Biancopale Shooting Star (Polo ) came first in Post Grad and Biancopale Shining Star (Siena) came 1st in Open the went on to get BOB.

The last CHAMPIONSHIP shows of 2017 for Bolognese are LKA on the 9th of December & Manchester Dog Show Society on the 19th of January 2018.  For Manchester entries may be made online up to 12 noon on Wednesday 13th December 2017 at www.dog.biz.
