SPOT LIGHT – Strophair Joesepie (JOE)

SIRE Quirino with Devonia
DAM Chazard Fontina
Date of Birth 7th May 2008
Brother to Luigi

I bred Joe and I knew as soon as he was born that I would be keeping him. Joe’s mother Sofie only gave birth to two little boys. Joe was the little one always pushing himself forward whilst his brother Luigi was very laid back.

Joe was always alert and switched on to me. When in the show ring he would always keep is eyes on me, he was so focused always stood to attention never needed to be stacked. Joe just loved to show off. His first big award was at Crufts being awarded Best Puppy in breed in 2009. He went on to have a very successful career winning Best of Breed and Best in Show twice at the British Bolognese Club Open Show.

Joe gained first place in Veteran Dog at The National show in 2017 and after Best Veteran at Crufts and a few other achievements we decided to retire. His one fault is barking a lot when I am around he just thinks he has to protect me all the time. At home he is my little shadow follows me about all day not sleeping much in the day. Joe is a very loving little boy never makes a mess in the house even when he is poorly. He is so well-behaved and life would not be good if he wasn’t in it.

When Sophie his mum died, Joe changed a lot. He will never play with any toys now and he used to play with his mum all the time. He does not interact with any dogs anymore Alfie tries to get him to play with him, but he just walks away. Joe has always been very loving and well behaved. When he has gone away for mating or on holiday he is as good as gold and does not do the barking (it is only when I am there).

Joe loves to cuddle up by my side when I sit down. He loves his walks it doesn’t matter how long the walks are he doesn’t seem to get tired.
