REMEMBRANCE – Tino Burns 24/07/2006 – 14/02/2022

My dear little Tino – I cannot put into words how I feel about the loss of my boy. Tino was my first Bolognese from Tenderella Bolognese and he just loved life or, more to the point, food!

From a puppy, Tino would bark his head off until presented with his meals. He also developed many strategies for obtaining treats. His favourite was asking to go outside. Immediately he was outside he would then turn round and wait by the door until he had a treat and then he would come back in! As he got older he decided that having big eyes and lifting up one paw would have the desired effect – and he was right! He certainly did live to eat!

Tino also had a short history as a show dog and made it to Crufts a couple of times after coming second and third in Open Shows. At his first Crufts appearance he achieved Highly Commended in his class and we were all so very proud of him.

Tino was also stud a few times for his breeder, Tenderella Bolognese, and produced some very lovely puppies. Tino is a well traveled little boy, always accompanying me on holiday.

The last few years saw a change in Tino’s health as he developed Laryngeal Paralysis. Although this was a progressive disease he was kept comfortable with medication and was still able to really enjoy his food and treats, right up until I, sadly, had to have him put to sleep as his health deteriorated suddenly and quickly and there was nothing else that could be done.

Tino was an amazing little boy who lived to the grand old age of 15 1/2 and I will never forget him. Run free sweet boy.
