Welcome New Members January 2017

We would like to welcome 7 new members to the club this year. Ian & Mary Poulter are JOINT Pro-members and they have 3 older Bolognese and 2 youngsters. Ian & Mary are from Tenterden in Kent and have been involved with Bolognese for many years. There are some lovely pictures in Ian & Mary’s profile.  Jacqueline & Paul Fuller have also joined in January and they are from Kent as well.  Welcome also to Diane Morris who lives in Leeds and Caroline Nolan from West Lothian in Scotland. Caroline is interested in owning a Bolognese and Diane already owns the breed. Lastly we are welcoming Simon Fox who is a semi-pro photographer from Worthing in West Sussex. Simon knows the breed through friends and has taken some lovely photographs of Bolognese. Simon is intending to expand his pet photography business and hopes to meet members and their dogs at shows and social meet-ups and take some lovely location shots.

Dates have been fixed for Meet-ups in West Sussex, Oxfordshire and London already this year and this location list is bound to grew as more dates are confirmed. At social events, members can meet each other in a relaxed setting and chat about their dogs and experiences. We now have almost 80 members in England, Scotland, Wales, The Channel Isles and some overseas members as well. More members means more like-minded friends, so welcome again to all new members.

FOUNDER MEMBER Belstown Bolognese. I live with 3 Bolognese and live in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. I own 3 Bolognese and show the youngest Harry. I also work part time as a support worker. I originally chose the breed for my daughter to show as a Junior Handler, but she has grown up and number of dogs have grown too! I originally trained as a Veterinary Nurse, as well as managing large show/breeding/boarding & quarantine kennels. I progressed to the commercial sector in sales and marketing of pet products, including running my own PR agency for pet related companies. Along with a few other like minded enthusiasts, we started this club in August 2015 as we felt the breed needed an information centre and a friendly group where people could share their views and learn more about the breed, so I started The Bolognese Dog Club UK. I have bred 7 litters, but don't breed currently.
