The World Dog Show in Bologna Italy

We went to the World Dog Show held in Bologna, Italy. This trip was quite a challenge. First, a flight attendant refused us boarding, saying my dog carrier was too big (I’ve used this carrier on domestic flights and to Japan before). Then, the changed flight was significantly delayed and I missed the connecting flight and had to change flight plans again, unexpectedly staying at a hotel near the airport. The next day, we finally arrived in Bologna, but my suitcase and dog stroller were missing, both reached the hotel late the following night.

I was very proud of how well-behaved my big boy stayed in his carrier the whole way, but I was completely exhausted and didn’t have the energy left to prepare for the show as I usually do. Even so, I had many wonderful experiences. I was able to see up close the many beautiful Bolognese from European breeders and I learned a lot from the FCI show. Most of all, I finally met the friends I’d been messaging with on Facebook and made new friends as well. I had a truly great time

I was finally able to put a claim in for my traveler’s insurance.
