Birmingham and District Toy Dog Society Open Show. 100th Anniversary Show, 17th December 2022
It was a very cold day with lots of frost on the ground. Even inside the building it was chilly and many exhibitors kept their coats on. As Bolognese were first in the ring we didn’t have to contend with too many distracting smells however the floor was quite slippery. There was a good turnout for an open show so close to Christmas, with 9 entries and 2 absentees. Our judge was breed specialist Vikki Marshall (Devonia) and her BOB went on to do well in the Best In Show ring being shortlisted to the final 11 under Caroline Lee-Slater (Graycaz). Mark and Diane Whateley’s Lyckalotte Enzo Ferrari at Arkadian took Reserve Best of Breed. He also did very well by going on to win 1st place (and £10) in the Post Grad Stakes, again under Caroline Lee-Slater (Graycaz). To cap it all off Vikki Marshall managed to upload the critiques the very same day so no waiting around for months for them.
