Hotham Park Picnic
A few of us got together on the 30th July in the lovely Hotham Park. Club members Norma Hemmings (with her 2 Affenpinschers), Hannah Woods (with Rosie the agility Bolognese) and Annie Redmond (with husband Dave and Bolognese Teddy) joined Melanie Thomas, Candy & Lily (mother and daughter Bolognese) for an informal picnic, chat and a few laughs. Polly & Alfie and Rosemary and Genie (the Westie) were welcome guests. Because we knew numbers were going to be low, we suggested that those coming a long distance left it for another day when there would be a bigger get together.
The park was busy with dogs and people and many came over for a chat about the dogs. The weather was ideal, not too hot and no rain! The dogs were free running around for most of the time, but they mainly stayed within sight of us. We had a raffle and raised £12 for club funds.
The next MEET UPS with be Southsea Common (Portsmouth) and in The South East, dates and details will follow soon. We are also arranging a MEET UP in the North West of England. There are more pictures of the Hotham Park picnic on our Facebook page. We now have over 400 people liking our Facebook page, so it is great to know that our posts are getting seen by so many enthusiasts of the breed.
