Izzie’s Medical Story

About 4-weeks ago our Bolognese Izzie wasn’t well, she had a lump forming under her top left nipple and a swelling from the breast. We took her to the vet who prescribed an anti-inflammatory and antibiotic, for 7-days and to return if it didn’t go. It didn’t and the swelling became worse, so we took her back to the vet who said they could remove it and do a biopsy. We contacted the Insurance and had the procedure done within 3 Days.

During the operation the vet phoned and said they had found another small lump on another breast and recommended we also have that removed and have her neutered because he suspected it was an hormonal imbalance. We agreed and said do anything to save her. After the operation the vet explained that he found a cyst on her ovaries so removed them and another cyst on a Lymph Gland so also removed that. Everything removed was sent for biopsy and we waited 10-days for the results.

The results are good, her scars are now healing and the Biopsy’s came back as non-cancerous. Izzie he is wearing a body stocking because she didn’t get on with the cone over her head. We are lucky to have caught this in time and to thank God we had insurance.
