PRODUCT REVIEW – Moorland Rider Petwear Wash Bag

Fizz and Fabio are my 2 Bolognese both get dirty on a regular basis as does their bedding.  We also have a Springer Spaniel and a Maltese both of which are elderly and a little bit Leaky. I have lots of doggy bedding all requiring washing not to mention doggy towels, the odd collar and dog toys.

My washing machine was beginning to get regularly clogged up with pet hair and nasty bits of grit so imagine my joy when staying in a very dog friendly holiday cottage I found the owner had left a Petwear wash bag for use in their washing machine. This piece of kit consists of a large bag with a zip closure it is suitable for all kinds of doggy stuff including beds duvets and the usual stuff. It works like a filtration system for the washing machine – it retains all the hair inside the bag during the wash cycle whilst allowing a free flow of water through the bag to clean your items. After washing any trapped hair can be shaken out of the bag ready for re-use. It prevents clogging of the washing machine filter and leaves the machine clean and free from pet hair.  It also stops any buckle damage should you be washing harnesses or collars. I have had mine for 6 months now and am very pleased with it – they come in 3 sizes and various colours and can be brought easily on-line. Mine is called Moorland Rider and I paid £14-50 for the large one.
