NEW SERVICE LAUNCHED TO HELP DOG LOVERS FIND SHOWS AND EVENTS NEAR THEM

The Kennel Club has launched a new online service that will enable dog lovers to find a range of shows and dog events in their area, including breed specific shows, agility, heelwork to music, rally and obedience, using a simple postcode search or breed search to find shows featuring specific breeds of dog.

The Find a Dog Show service is available at www.findadogshow.org.uk.

The new service will benefit dog lovers who may be looking for a dog event to go to in their area and anyone who competes in dog activities with their four-legged friend.

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: “Find a Dog Show will allow people to easily search for dog competitions and events based on location and will enable them to find the nearest and most convenient ones for them to visit for a doggy day out.

“It will help thousands of dog owners enjoy the benefits of visiting dog events and enable them to find out more about the kinds of activities they can get involved in with their own dogs.  It will also serve as a great resource for people who love dogs but do not have one and want to spend some time with them.

The Find a Dog Show functionality is one of a number of web based services developed by the Kennel Club which aim to assist people to access canine services more easily, such as the existing Find a Dog Club service.

The service can be found at www.findadogshow.org.uk or www.thekennelclub.org.uk/findadogshow.
