Chilled MEET UP in Worcester Country Park

I went to the Midlands MEET UP as I was in the Midlands for a few days and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I used to visit the Midlands for business years ago and always thought how nice the people were and once again everybody was lovely. It was interesting how easy it is to get around in The Midlands as there are so many motorways! Tracy & Nick chose this venue and it was perfect for a MEET UP, it was just off the motorway with plenty of parking, great cafe and lovely woods to meander through.

We met on Sunday 27th of April at Worcester Country Park which is right next to the woods. There was a companion show at the Country Park on the day, meaning there were so many dogs about and the place was busy. But, honestly, it was not a problem everything was well organized. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many dogs in one place outside Crufts.

Tracy got there early and saved some chairs in the shade. The cafe, although busy, was really efficient and the food was nice too.  Anne & Stephen Bell were there with 13-year old Izzy. Anne & Stephen live up near Preston, but they stayed in the area for a week to attend the MEET UP and it was lovely to see them. I brought Harry and his mum Lily who is now 14-years old, but spritely and happy to be included. Lily kept up well on the walk showing no sign of slowing down. Diane & Mark brought Amy and her puppies in a stroller and Max. As you can imagine, the puppies got lots of attention and it certainly provided them with some socialization.

Tracy & Nick own 2 Bolognese who are brothers and like 2 peas in a pod, I for one couldn’t tell one from the other. The 2 boys are called Archie and Marco and they are very photogenic. Nick acted like the dog whisperer, taking different dogs off for walk abouts, giving all the dogs treats and lots of drinks of water.

We found a lovely girl called Amy to pick our Best Girl and Best Boy, which went to Amy and Max. We also had a little raffle/tombola where everybody picked their own prize. Time went quickly as there was lots of chatting to be done, we then had some lunch and headed into the woods. The woods there are perfect, there was a path to follow and we were extra lucky as the bluebells were out making a magical woodland walk on a beautiful Spring day. We settled on a fallen tree for a group picture making a perfect memory of the day.

Thanks goes to Tracy & Nick for setting this MEET UP up and hopefully we will be there again next year as it was a perfect venue.
